All replacement skylight domes and replacement skylight diffusers and covers are manufactured using the highest grade high impact acrylic sheeting, for superior clarity of light, resistance to discolouration, impacts and longevity.
How to measure for replacement skylight domes properly
The replacement skylight dome size that you require all depends on the size of the skylight flashings throat measurement. This is the skylights roof opening that you want to make sure is covered by the new skylight cover. Steps are as follows;
Remove the dome from the flashing/ skylight base. Most of the time domes are screwed on or pop riveted.
Run a tape edge to edge across the diameter of the dome if it is round, or measure edge to edge of the skylight dome if it is square or rectangle. This measurement will give you the dome size (e.g 420mm).
Now run a tape across the skylight opening, otherwise known as the throat size or nominal size (e.g 400mm). This measurement will tell you the size/model of your skylight. It also tells you the shaft size, the bottom ceiling insert size and the diffuser size. This measurement is useful when replacing other parts. It is also useful if you are having trouble sourcing the edge to edge dome measurement.

How to know which replacement skylight diffusers you require
First you need to decide if the diffuser replacement is a flat model, a domed model or a vented diffuser model.
Then you will want to measure across the diameter of the diffuser so you know which size you require. If your skylight diffuser is cracked you can measure the opening of the ceiling insert and get an estimate from that which size it may be.
What material if your replacement skylight diffuser made from? Was it a frosted acrylic or a prismatic style.
Finally does your diffuser attach by twisting and turning or placing onto the lip of the ceiling insert.
In some cases you will not find your exact replacement as the skylight company has ceased trading or the style is discontinued. In which case another skylight diffuser may suit or an upgrade of the skylight ceiling insert and skylight diffuser may be required.

The length of the manufacturers warranty commences upon payment of the product. Manufacturers warranties are guaranteed against any defects for a period of 7 years. This warranty does not cover misuse, negligence or abnormal use of the products; Improper, incomplete or incorrect installation or fitment; Normal wear and tear; Change of mind; Defects or damages arising out of shipment by carriers; Your attempt to repair a defect in the product yourself or by engaging a third party.
Exclusions – Acts of God
Returns for refunds and credit are accepted for standard stocked products.The goods must be returned within 7 days of receipt, in their original packaging and unmarked in as new condition. Return postage is to be paid by the purchaser, original delivery fee is not refundable and a re-stocking fee of 10% of the original purchasing price will be charged.
* Special order domes, larger custom dome orders and Skylight kits can not be returned for a refund. Under some circumstances store credit will be considered.
Orders in excess of 5kg or of large cubic size and in remote rural locations may be subject to extra freight charges, on top of the flat rate charge.
An email will be sent prior to dispatch to the customer outlying the freight quotes, cost and terms of payment. Freight must be paid before dispatch.
All orders are sent with standard delivery cover. Extra insurance is at the discretion of the buyer. Please contact Skybrite before your order is dispatched via admin@skybriteskylights.com.au to arrange a quote and subsequent payment.
Special order domes, custom dome orders, custom diffusers and Skylight kit orders can not be cancelled once commenced. If cancellation of a non standard stocked item occurs during the ordering, manufacturing, packaging or delivery of an order, the Customer shall fully reimburse Skybrite Skylights for all costs incurred up to the time of cancellation.
The total price of your order will be displayed upon checkout; inclusive of item price, tax, shipping and all unavoidable or pre selected extra fees. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to have filled out the billing and delivery details accurately before finalising their purchase. If the purchaser requires Skybrite to do the invoicing on their behalf this will incur a small admin fee.
