Terms & Conditions

At Skybrite Skylights, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our products and services. Our Policy outlines the terms under which returns, exchanges, or refunds can be processed.

Who Is Covered

If you live in Australia and you are the original consumer purchaser you are entitled to the benefits of this warranty.

What Is Covered

We warrant that your spare parts are free from any manufacturing defects.

Exclusions

Acts of God

This warranty does not cover any events beyond the control of Skybrite Skylights; such as flooding, earthquakes, bush fires, tropical cyclones, and severe storms carrying gale force winds in excess of 50km/h, causing damage to the skylight or causing leaks to occur. Any damage incurred as a result of these events, is the sole responsibility of the consumer.

How Long Are You Covered

The length of the manufacturers warranty commences upon payment of the product. Manufacturers warranties will vary. They are normally guaranteed against any defects for a period of 5 to 7 years.

Conditions of Sale

All products and services offered for sale by Skybrite Skylights are sold subject to the terms and conditions stated herein. These terms and conditions shall apply to the sale of the products offered by Skybrite Skylights.

Payment

Payment for all skylight spare parts is due on checkout and before dispatch. Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, cryptocurrency or Direct Transfer are accepted forms of payment. Transfer of ownership to the buyer is completed only once payment is received.

Freight

Orders in excess of 5kg and/or of large cubic sizes and/or in remote locations are subject to extra freight charges, on top of the flat rate charge, as stated at the time of ordering on the website. Extra insurance is at the discretion of the buyer.

An email will be sent prior to dispatch to the customer outlying the freight quotes, cost and terms of payment. Freight must be paid before dispatch. Once orders are dispatched they become the responsibility of the buyer.

Cancellation of Orders

Special order domes, large custom dome orders and Skylight kit orders can not be cancelled once commenced. If cancellation of a non standard stocked item occurs during the ordering, manufacturing, packaging or delivery of an order, the Customer shall fully reimburse Skybrite Skylights for all costs incurred up to the time of cancellation, a re-stocking fee of 10% of the total of the order and return freight will also be paid for by the customer.

Risk

Risk for damage to the product/s shall pass to the Customer at the time of dispatch. When ownership of the good is transferred to the buyer (purchased in full) that buyer carries the risk of loss or damage to those goods, even if the goods have not been delivered.

Delivery

Estimated delivery times are provided at the time of purchase but are not guaranteed. Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivery addresses are accurate. Skybrite Skylights is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers or unforeseen circumstances.

Damaged Deliveries

In the event of a damaged delivery, notice must be given within 24 hours of receipt from the transport company via either email or phone. Photo evidence must be provided to pursue possible compensation from said transport company. We will arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

Missing Deliveries

In the event of a missing delivery, notice must be given within 2 weeks from the date of dispatch either by email or phone for a replacement or refund or credit can be issued.

Returns

Returns for credit will only be accepted for standard stocked products. The goods must be returned within 14 days of receipt, in their original packaging and unmarked in as new condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g. incorrect or defective item), original delivery fee is non refundable and a re-stocking fee of 5% of the original purchasing price will be charged. Exchanges will be processed once the returned item is received and approved.

If the product is found to be non-eligible for return, it will be returned to the customer at their expense.

Non-Returnable Items

Custom or made to order skylights. Items marked as clearance or “sale”. Products damaged due to misuse, improper installation, unauthorised modifications or special order domes, large custom dome orders and skylight kits. Under special circumstances store credit will be considered.
